Even though training is common in Nigeria’s remote north state of Bauchi, Ali failed to feel completely confident with the thought of giving out their little girl’s hand in wedding – to a guy of sufficient age to be her grandfather.
“I happened to be unfortunate because he had been too old. I needed her to marry somebody younger, state 55 or 50 for a longer time before he dies because he could take care of her.
