Summer Olympics

There could be more than 30 athletes participating in sports such as water polo, volleyball, and track representing the Trojan household. USC has a tradition that is long of Olympic athletes. From 1904 to 2008, there have been nearly 400 athletes who either went to the university before, during, or after their Olympic competition. USC has delivered more athletes to the Olympics than some other college and our athletes have gained a grand total of 262 medals.
The Olympics are a definite time to cheer on our country’s athletes and also unite together for a platform that is global. I enjoy watching the beach volleyball matches and I’m excited to see how far the two former Trojans contending in coastline volleyball go! look out for most of USC’s many Olympic competitors—they just might bring home the gold.
The Expo Line is open!! finally!
The expansion of Los Angeles’s light rail train system (LA Metro) has finally opened after six years of anticipation. The Expo Line may be the way that is perfect USC students, staff, and faculty getting around the city without getting behind the wheel. The line that is new three stops directly next door from our campus. One stop is on the northeast side of campus and the other two take the south side of campus.
By utilizing the Expo Line, students can go pretty much anywhere in the town and take complete benefit of what Los Angeles has to offer. It’s just a short ride that is five-minute the Expo Line to the Los Angeles Metro Station and from there students can link to the other light rail train lines that run through the city.
Some members of our workplace have already traded in their cardinal and gold parking permits for a monthly metro pass to conquer their commutes to work. Our workplace is slowly overtaking all of the seats in the 8:18am train!
